Legacies Season 2: What’s the show all about?
The US American TV network The CW have been responsible for many cult hit shows over the years, including Arrow, The 100, and Supernatural. These kinds of shows have amassed big followings, and more often than not fans have a fierce passion for the sci-fi/fantasy stories. New kid on the block Legacies has just started it’s run in the US, but how’s it looking so far? Is it good enough to warrant a Legacies season 2?
Legacies is a lovechild-cum-sequel series to The Vampire Diaries and The Originals. Picking up two years after The Originals finale, the show follows the story of the next generation of teens with supernatural powers. They attend The Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted in the town of Mystic Falls.
Star of the show is Danielle Rose Russell, here she plays Klaus and Hayley’s daughter Hope Mikaelson. Alongside Hope is Aria Shahghasemi, he plays Landon Kirby and is Hope’s new flame.

Legacies Season 2: Does it justify a renewal?
As Legacies has only just began airing in the US, it’s hard to tell whether we’re likely to see a Legacies season 2 just yet. We can make an educated guess by looking at how the ratings stack up however. A quick look at Rotten Tomatoes shows us that the show has been received pretty well so far, averaging an 86% audience score review.

As far a viewing figures are concerned, Legacies isn’t stacking up too badly: it’s averaging roughly 1.1 million viewers per episode, with the premiere amassing 0.3 million at time of launch. This is according to thewrap.com who rank the best TV show of the night as The Big Bang Theory with a total of 12.7 million viewers.
Not great reading for anyone banking on a Legacies season 2, but the ratings have remained pretty consistent since the first episode. So, do we think we’re likely to see a renewal? My money is on yes, as this is the best opening for a CW show since Black Lightning aired. We’ll be sure to update you as soon as we hear anything solid.
