New Indian Disney Animated Series Starring Jameela Jamil

Mira, Royal Detective is the latest animated series by Disney to go into production! The series will follow Mira, a young girl who is very intelligent and an expert at solving mysteries. She must use her skills to help the Prince save the kingdom in the fictional land of Jalpur.

Children watching the series will be educated on Indian Culture, lifestyle and traditions while learning and using problem solving skills.

Mira, Royal Detective Cast

Mira, Royal Detective will feature an Indian cast, including a star from Netflix’s hit show The Good Place.

Leela Ladnier
Leela is a newcomer and will play the main character Mira.

Jameela Jamil
Ex-t4 presenter Jameela Jamil will be voicing Mira’s Aunt. Jameela is most known for her role in the popular Netflix original series The Good Place. She has recently tweeted how excited she is to be a part of the series.

Freida Pinto
Frieda Pinto will voice Queen Shanti in the Disney series. Pinto is known for hit US and British films such as Slumdog Millionaire, Rise of the Planet of the Apes and Netflix’s new film Mowgli.

Hannah Simon
Most know for her role in New Girl, Hannah Simone will be voicing a young girl named Pinky in the series.

Kal Penn
House and Designated survivors Kal Penn will be joining the cast voicing a mongoose in the Disney Junior series.

Mira, Royal Detective Air Date and Channel

Mira, Royal Detective is set to air in 2020 and will be available on Disney Junior.
