From the creator of Game of Thrones, Nightflyers is another story written by George R.R. Martin which has been turned into a series.

The series has been known for some time now, but with limited information. Now there is an official trailer and an air date.

Nightflyers Official Trailer

What is Nightflyers about?

As you can probably tell from the trailer, Nightflyers is a psychological, sci-fi horror series. Set in the future on the eve of planet Earth’s destruction, the story follows a spaceship crew on the most advanced ship in the galaxy known as The Nightflyer, as they try to intercept an alien spacecraft which may hold the key to their survival.

As the Nightflyer crew approach their destination, the ships artificial intelligence and never seen before captain may be steering them into deadly and unspeakable horrors that lie in the dark of space. Sounds pretty gripping right?

Nightflyers Cast

The cast for Nightflyers sees some more lesser known actors and actresses, but the talent level is high.

The leading roles for Nightflyers has been taken up by Eoin Macken, David Ajala (Supergirl), and Jodie Turner-Smith.

Other cast members include:
Angus Sampson, Sam Strike (Timeless, Eastenders), Maya Eshet, Brían F. O’Byrne (Hatton Garden) and Gretchen Mol.

Nightflyers Air Date and Channel Information

For us, in the UK, Nightflyers will be airing on Netflix, 1st February 2019.

Will Nightflyers be the next Game of Thrones?

If you are into Sci-Fi, then this is definitely a must watch. We can’t wait to see George R.R. Martin’s work become a series once again, this time with very different story telling and characters.

However, we doubt this will be the ‘Next Game of Thrones’. Sci-Fi is quite a niche genre, but it is extremely hard to replicate, what many call the greatest show of all time, even if you are the same writer.
