Sex Education Season 2 Confirmed by Netflix

Netflix is set to bring Sex Education season 2 to their platform in the near future. It comes after the recent news that the series was a massive surprise success. According to Recode first week numbers for Sex Education reached 40 million, just 5 million shy of meme-powered Bird Box.


Starring Asa Butterfield (Merlin), Gillian Anderson (American Gods), and Emma Mackey the show’s been a big hit with viewers the world over. It manages to blend comedy and cringey family moments in a perfectly relatable balance. Following 16-year-old Otis Milburn, inexperienced with girls but highly knowledgeable about the theory behind it – thanks to his sex therapist mum. Upon teaming up with Maeve, they end up forming an underground sex-therapy clinic at their school.

Announced by Netflix on Friday 1st February, the thought of a Sex Education season 2 will be music to fans’ ears. The production of an eight-episode second season is set to begin in the UK this spring. Along with You, Sex Education has been the most popular Netflix original of late. The streaming giant has been hitting some big production home runs recently.
