Steve Carrell Returns to TV for Netflix Series Space Force

By Mason Mallett | 17 Jan 2019 at 3:00pm

Everybody’s favourite actor, Steve Carell is to star in a brand new Netflix Original comedy series based on Donald Trump’s Space Force.

Steve Carell has been in many hilarious TV series and films such as The Office, Anchorman, 40 Year Old Virgin Evan/Bruce Almighty and Despicable Me just to name a few! He is a very diverse comic and it’s great to see him come back to the little screen.

The series is co-created by Steve Carell himself and Greg Daniels, the writer of The Office (US) and Parks and Recreation, so we can definitely expect the series to be a huge hit and laugh out loud funny.

What is Space Force about?

Space Force will be inspired by Donald Trump’s mission to send the US military into space, creating a “Space Force“. The series will be a workplace comedy that revolves around the men and women who are in charge of creating the sixth branch of the armed services.

Although this is a work place comedy with the same writers as The Office, we expect the series to have a very different angle of comedy and be less focused on a relatable work place environment and more focused on the job and brand the work team needs to create, along with comical references to the modern world, Donald Trump and aeronautical and military culture.

Space Force Air Date and Channel

You will be able to watch Space Force on Netflix, however no specific air date has been given. The trailer simply mentions the series will be “coming soon”. If you pushed us for a date.. our guess would be “late 2019”.
