We’ve learnt from a TV Line report that the show will be making a return in 2019. The Good Place season 4 is welcome for any fans of the wacky comedy.

The show has gained a strong fanbase as of late, with audiences praising its intelligent humour mixed with philosophical ideas. It’s currently unclear how many episodes have been commissioned for season 4, but the previous three have all run for 13 episodes each.

The announcement comes just days before The Good Place finishes its third season here on Netflix in the UK. It also follows the recent news that E4 had picked up the show and would begin airing it on December 13th.

“Congratulations to Mike Schur and an exceptional cast and crew, all of whom collaborate to create a thoughtful, mind-bending and hysterical series unlike anything else on television.”

Said Tracey Pakosta and Lisa Katz, presidents of scripted programming at NBC entertainment.

“We can’t wait to see what unexpected stories the new season will bring.”

The series, set in a mind-bending version of heaven, stars Kristen Bell in the lead role as Eleanor Shellstrop. Alongside her is William Jackson Harper (Chidi Anagonye), Ted Danson (Michael the Architect), Jameela Jamil (Tahani Al-Jamil, who is set to star in a new Indian Disney series), D’Arcy carden (Janet) and Manny Jacinto (Jason Mendoza).
