Set in the 1960s, Godfather of Harlem tells the true story of infamous crime boss Bumpy Johnson (portrayed by Forest Whitaker – The Last King of Scotland), who returned home after ten years in prison to find the neighbourhood he once ruled in shambles. With the streets controlled by the Italian mob, Bumpy took on the Genovese crime family to regain control.
