Sky’s New “Sky Cinema Animation” Movie Channel Is World Class Entertainment At Your Feet

Sky, Europe’s leading media and entertainment company, has almost 24 million customers across seven countries and counting. Offering the very best in-home entertainment, from sports, arts, including both local and international content, as if Sky Broadband Buddy and the Sky Kids app isn’t enough of an offering, it is out to set yet another benchmark in releasing its very own newest channel Sky Cinema Animation Channel.

If you’re wondering when you and the kids will have this new adventure brought to your very homes, it is available to access in just a few weeks – From the 23rd of July, for both Sky Cinema customers and Sky Cinema Pass on NOW TV, Sky’s very own online streaming service. This wonderful channel not only has the latest and most incredible selection of family-friendly animated movies but included in their selection are also all the brand-new blockbuster sequels released worldwide earlier this year and that kids have been waiting to get their eyes on.

From the likes of the popular video game movie sequel Angry Birds 2 to the thrilling and adventurous The Secret Life of Pets 2, How to Train Your Dragon 3, and even the ones that you may not know about yet Spy Cat and Astro Boy. There is a variety of crazy, bravest, and brightest characters to invite into your living room. 

Below is a selection of just some of the large collection of movies that will be available from the launch date mentioned above, and in high-resolution imagery that will keep you and your family filled with hours of wickedly fun entertainment.

How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World

Venture once more to the mythical Viking village of Berk for “How to Train Your Dragon 3,” the third and final chapter of DreamWorks’ hit franchise about the young Viking, Hiccup, and his dragon, Toothless. Now the leaders of their respective clans, Hiccup and Toothless face new challenges in the culmination of their story. The returning voice cast includes Jay Baruchel as Hiccup, America Ferrera as Astrid, and Cate Blanchett as Valka. The third installment is once again directed by Dean DeBlois, the writer/director of the first two films in the series, which garnered three Oscar® nominations and more than $1 billion at the global box office.

 The latest addition to this fabulous listing is this dragon utopia, filled with awe-inspiring and wonder of the “Hidden World”, in this take where Hiccup discovers Toothless isn’t the only Night Fury. Join in on the race to find this secret Dragon Utopia before a hired tyrant named Grimmel finds it first. To add a touch of exquisite taste, the voice-overs are done by Cate Blanchet and Gerard Butler.
