BlackAF (original title: Black Excellence) is a Netflix Original series and Kenya Barris’ first Netflix collaboration. The series is a family sitcom, which takes a look at Barris’ approach to parenting, relationships, race, and culture, with events and stories based on his own life. BlackAF is to also star Rashida Jones (The Office US, Parks and Recreation).

Kenya Barris is an award-winning writer, producer and director, who wrote created the hit series Black-ish. He is known to have an innovative approach to comedy and takes on controvesial topics, which has firmly cemented his place as one Hollywood’s great modern storytellers.
