In the Long Run is a British comedy drama TV series which is produced by Green Door Pictures and broadcast on Sky One in the UK. It is both created by and stars Idris Elba (Luther), and is set in 1985’s London. Amidst the tower blocks lives Walter and Agnes Easmon, immigrants from Sierra Leone. This hardworking family sheds a funny and heartwarming look into lower income households in London. The family are disrupted upon the arrival of their relative from Sierra Leone, whom the come to love and hate at the same time.
