Marcella is a British/Nordic crime noir detective TV series. It’s written, produced and directed by Swedish writer Hans Rosenfeldt, whose known for his work on The Bridge. Starring Anna Friel (Pushing Daisies) as Marcella Backland, a detective involved in the case of a serial killer who’s recently become active. The cast also features Nicholas Pinnock (Fortitude), Ray Panthaki and Jamie Bamber (Counterpart).
The series is broadcast on ITV and the first season was released on 4th April, 2016. Season 2 was broadcast on 19th February, 2018. The writer has recently confirmed that the show will absolutely come back for a third.
