Need sunshine, seaside, and scandals? We’re here to remind that Riviera series 2 returns to Sky Atlantic this week.
Equal parts salacious and thrilling, the family drama features a star-studded cast led by Julia Stiles as Georgina. As previously mentioned, series 2 will air on Thursday, May 23rd.
What will happen in Riviera series 2?

Events will pick up where series 1 left off — in the wake of Constantine’s shocking death. As the Clios family mourns, Georgina (Stiles) focuses on getting away with Adam’s murder. Her fight for power and influence over the likes of Irina Clios (Lena Olin) is far from over.
Things grow more complicated as Georgina finds new rivals to grapple with. The aristocratic Eltham family — comprised of Lady Eltham, her fashionable daughter Daphne, and her brooding son Nico — has arrived on the Riviera with dark secrets of their own.
Georgina also reconnects with her charismatic uncle Jeff, whose presence lifts the veil on Georgina’s troubled past in America.
At least it’s not all war for Georgina. She also becomes entangled with a handsome and enigmatic love interest by the name of Noah.
Who is in the cast?
Riviera series 2 brings exciting new cast members to the Côte d’Azur. British actress Juliet Stevenson steps into the role of Lady Eltham. Stevenson played Louise Elliot on the mystery-thriller mini-series Retribution (originally titled One of Us). You may also remember her from Atlantis, The Village, or Bend it Like Beckham.
Actress/model Poppy Delevingne plays the stylish Daphne. Her latest projects include Genius, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, and King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.
London-born actor Jack Fox plays Nico Eltham. He is known for his roles in Johnny English Strikes Again, Sanditon, and Kids in Love.
Georgina’s love interest Noah is played by Grégory Fitoussi. The French actor has appeared on TV series such as Mr Selfridge, Spiral, and Spin. Film credits include World War Z and Hostile.
Who better to play Georgina’s charismatic uncle Jeff than Arrested Development star Will Arnett? The former magician has recently voiced characters in The Lego Movies and BoJack Horseman.

The trailer opens on Georgina bathed in an ominous red glow as a mysterious voice says, “This is the Riviera, darling, people get away with everything.” But will Georgina get away with murder? She confirms that she’ll stand her ground and try. She boldly returns home saying, “Have you ever known me to run away from anything?”
Irina Clios makes an appearance and seems to be hot on Georgina’s trail, convinced that “she’s hiding something.” We also meet newcomers to the Riviera, the Eltham family. They sit with Georgina around a dining table and share a toast, a clear sign of the intrigue to come.
The trailer ends with a question from Georgina: “You really want to know the truth?” Yes we do! And it appears series 2 will revolve around unmasking that dark, deeply buried secret.

You can catch Riviera series 2 on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV. According to the Sky TV Guide, Season 2 Episode 1 will air from 9 pm – 10 pm. Episode 2 will follow immediately after.
