We have good news for those of you looking for news regarding Alibi crime shows We Hunt Together and Traces: they’re returning for second seasons!
Following the huge success of Traces series one last year, the story will be continued after UKTV gave it the go-ahead. Alibi will always want the most compelling crime dramas, and they’ll get exactly that from another series of Traces – starring Molly Windsor and Martin Compston (known also for his role as protagonist Steve Arnott in Line of Duty). The show was one of the biggest launches in the channel’s history, and managed to generate a massive following for the duration of the six episodes. They amassed an average of nearly one million views per episode throughout. The second series will continue to focus on how forensic science is key to the uncovering of significant cases as the team look to figure out the identity behind a plethora of bombings in Dundee.
As for We Hunt Together, that has been described by Emma Ayech as being a standout series this year on Alibi and one that pleases the powers that be to be able to bring back for another run. Ayech then goes on to say that she can’t wait to see what the new series has in store. The new series of We Hunt Together will air next year – the full cast is yet to be confirmed but will be disclosed at a further date.
