Christmas is nearly here and we are so excited. We have put the tree up, decorated the house and finished our Christmas shopping or maybe not? Love Actually
Starting off our list is Love Actually. A cluster of love stories that all end up intertwined with each other. The film follows ten couples over the Christmas period, leading to love, loss, hope and overall holiday cheer. Set in London this film boasts an all-star cast including, Alan Rickman, Hugh Grant, Colin Firth, Emma Thompson, Liam Neeson and Keira Knightley to name a few. It is the best film to start off your Christmas movie marathon.
Elf
Set in New York, Will Farrell plays Buddy the elf in this hilarious comedy. This Christmas film will definitely get you in the Christmas spirit if you are not already. It follows Buddy the elf, who as a baby ended up in Santa’s workshop and subsequently raised by elves. He then travels from the North Pole to New York to meet his dad with crazy fun adventures along the way. Here he meets Jovie (Zoey Deschanel) and together they spark a romance.
The Best Man Holiday
A Christmas sequel from the film The Best Man is an uplifting film about friendship. Reunited after 15 years for the Christmas holidays brings laughter, surprises and rekindled love. The cast includes the likes of Tay Diggs, Nia Long, Regina Hall, Sanaa Lathan and Morris Chestnut. You must watch this film at some point this Christmas period.
Bridget Jones Diary
Renee Zellweger plays Bridget Jones in a hilarious and romantic film. We can all relate to Bridget Jones in some way, maybe not end up in a love triangle with Colin Firth and Hugh Grant kind of way but with the normal down to earth girl we see on screen. The Film has two sequels so why not make a movie day out of it and have a movie marathon.
