What is NOW TV?
NOW TV is a contract-free subscription service owned by SKY which allows you to watch films, TV and sports in an easily manageable, stress free format over the internet. You simply purchase a pass to watch the available channels and shows under that pass, depending on the type of pass you purchase will depend on the type of shows available to watch.

NOW TV has separate passes to suit your needs, with each having a different price per month. On what devices can I watch NOW TV?
NOW TV has free apps on over 60 devices enabling you to easily watch any NOW TV pass you purchase, on the device most convenient for you. This is one big advantage of purchasing a hayu NOW TV pass as opposed to subscribing to hayu directly as the service currently has very limited apps available for you to watch the service.
NOW TV has apps available on:
Games Consoles – PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
Mobiles – iOS and Android.
Computers – PC and Mac.
TVs – Chromecast, Roku, Youview, EETV, Apple TV, LG Smart TVs and Samsung Smart TVs
If you don’t have any of these devices, you can purchase the NOW TV Smart Box which you can often get in a bundle with a NOW TV pass.
Can I watch live TV channels and record them?
All the NOW TV passes (apart from the hayu pass) give you access to certain pay TV channels depending on the type of pass will depend on the channels you get access to, to watch live.
Unfortunately you can’t record any of the channels content but most of the content (although not all of it) goes on to the services catch up section for you to watch at a later date. However, if you have the NOW TV smart box or smart stick this does let you pause and rewind live TV up to 30 minutes, this feature is only available if you are using one of NOW TV’s smart devices though, this isn’t available in any of the apps on third party platforms.

What about downloading shows to watch offline?
With Netflix now offering the ability to download TV shows and Amazon Prime offering this for a few years, is NOW TV offering the ability to download and watch TV shows offline to compete with their biggest competitors?
Well – yes, sort of. Only the NOW TV Kids pass right now. The NOW TV website does state its coming to other passes “in the next few months” but they have been saying this for a while. So whilst it is coming we are unsure exactly when this will happen.
