We’re big fans of Killing Eve here at UK Air Dates. So much so that it made an appearance on our Top TV Series of 2018 list. So, as you can imagine, we were more than excited to hear the news of a brand new Killing Eve season 2 trailer.
Released on Valentine’s Day on the BBC America YouTube channel, the minute long video features everything we’ve come to expect from Sandra Oh and gang. That being knives, tension, and horrifying facial expressions.
The BBC spy drama first aired, to much furore, in April 2018. During its runtime it captivated the British public’s attention almost as strongly as Bodyguard did. Developed by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Killing Eve, stars Jodie Comer as the villainous Villanelle and Sandra Oh as Eve Polastri, an MI5 officer.
The series was such a big success, it came second on the BBC iPlayer 2018 viewer count stats list. Only beaten narrowly by Bodyguard. It’s really no surprise then, that BBC America have decided to produce a Killing Eve season 2.
From the brand new trailer we can glean a few things. Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer will both be reprising their roles – phew; the deeply psychological theming and dark murderous lighting will be present again; and the cat and mouse action between Villanelle and Eve is back in full force.
The air date for Killing Eve season 2 in the US has been confirmed as Sunday 7th April, 2019 on BBC America. As for the UK there’s nothing concrete so far, but we’ll update this article and our TV show listing for Killing Eve as soon as there’s any news.
In the meantime you can feast your eyes on the first full length trailer for Killing Eve season 2. With the first installment finishing less than a year ago, fans have been treated very well here.
