We’re big fans of Killing Eve here at UK Air Dates. So much so that it made an appearance on our Top TV Series of 2018 list. So, as you can imagine, we were more than excited to hear the news of a brand new Killing Eve season 2 trailer.

Released on Valentine’s Day on the BBC America YouTube channel, the minute long video features everything we’ve come to expect from Sandra Oh and gang. That being knives, tension, and horrifying facial expressions.

The BBC spy drama first aired, to much furore, in April 2018. During its runtime it captivated the British public’s attention almost as strongly as Bodyguard did. Developed by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Killing Eve, stars Jodie Comer as the villainous Villanelle and Sandra Oh as Eve Polastri, an MI5 officer.

The series was such a big success, it came second on the BBC iPlayer 2018 viewer count stats list. Only beaten narrowly by Bodyguard. It’s really no surprise then, that BBC America have decided to produce a Killing Eve season 2.

From the brand new trailer we can glean a few things. Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer will both be reprising their roles – phew; the deeply psychological theming and dark murderous lighting will be present again; and the cat and mouse action between Villanelle and Eve is back in full force.
