Vikings is a historical drama inspired by the tales of the norsemen of early scandinavia which follows Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel). Ragnar is a Viking warrior and farmer who yearns to explore and raid the distant shores across the ocean. Among the blood shed the story entails family, brotherhood, love and affection. The show uses some artistic license as far as historical Viking accuracy is concerned, but portrays a compelling image of Nordic life and the social system – pair this with bloody battles and brilliant cinematography and Amazon have got themselves a winner here.
